Not every person who plays hockey can afford to do so, some have to struggle and work hard to continue their passion. They choose to be dedicated and excel. That same dedication will continue through to their educational years. SkateS2Scholars would like to assist those kids in fulfilling their “what do you want to be when you grow up” desires.
We hope you will contribute in helping us make those dreams a reality.
We are accepting applications to help families keep their child on the ice in the form of an essay. Please submit for yourself or nominate a friend!
We also have a special place in our hearts for the sport of hockey. Not only does it build character and improve mental agility, but those who play youth hockey are 3x more likely to continue playing in college and through adulthood.
If you would like to make a donation, simply bring the equipment you no longer need to the “Hallway Closet”, or you are welcome to leave at the front desk of XIC.
NEED EQUIPMENT?
SkateS2Scholars holds an open closet sale every Friday evening between 6pm-8pm at Extreme Ice Center, in the Training Rink at the end of the bleachers.
From shoulder pads to skates, and everything in between (sorry, no helmets or jocks), we want to help you on the ice.
100% of all donations goes back to the hockey players.
